After exhibitions were cancelled throughout the UK during Covid pandemic restrictions and uncertainty as to their return, it was great to be asked by Hormann to once again assist in creating the exhibition stand for FIT Show 2023 at the NEC – this time bigger and better than ever.
This year Hormann decided to up their game with a larger stand space and more doors on display than ever before. With that in mind we felt more time spent preparing would be beneficial and therefore arranged a 3-day stay Hormann UK in Coalville some weeks in advance of the show. This allowed us time to check and prepare the display pods and doors, doing as much as possible that would save time when on site at the NEC.
Then three days before the show was due to open the build-up commenced, and as always, the communication and teamwork by everyone resulted in the stand being completed on time and to the highest standards.
This year Hormann UK had the most front entrance doors they have ever displayed, a total of 16, accompanied by their new Loft Door, a sectional garage door and a Rollmatic 2 on display. The show was a success, and it was great to see businesses engaging face to face once again and able to get hands on with the latest products. Also, some quirky incentives to draw the attention of people and Hormann were no exception. After three long and exhausting days of building the displays, the team found a little time and energy to test Hormann’s time attack wall and even our marketing coordinator Georgi bravely took a lie detector test, all taken in the lighthearted and fun way it was intended.
The taking down of the stand is always a much quicker task, generally taking a third of the time it takes to build, but it is here we must be extra careful and vigilant. With everyone tired and keen to get things packed away as quickly as possible we had to ensure we remained safe and doors undamaged.
As always, we worked very closely with Hormann UK to achieve a very high standard of fitting and finish, and we look forward to being able to work with them on future exhibitions.
