Partnering with David Futcher Builders, we supplied and installed security shutters in a newly refurbished Officers' mess.
Brief
New security shutters were required as part of a project to refurbish the officers' mess. Being a MOD site, the security shutters were intended more as a deterrent and visual recognition of closing time at the bar rather than high security. But the challenge was how to replace the very old existing shutters which were all at various angles and built up into the ceiling space above.
Solution
Having previously worked with David Futcher Builders, the on-site contractor undertaking the refurbishment works, David was keen to seek our advice on sourcing and fitting internal security shutters. A compact powder-coated extruded aluminium security shutter with punched vision slats was just the solution. The electric shutters were individually operated via wall switches, making life easy for staff behind the bar.
Whilst it was not a huge project, it did require a lot of planning to ensure it went without a glitch and met the high standard of finish everyone expects. As always it was a pleasure working with Dave Futcher and his team.
