The Somerset range is a classic favourite and Woodrites "entry-level" range of designs created using a combination of Cedar mouldings and Gaboon faced exterior ply. The Somerset range uses Woodrites 'panel-built' system which is a steel chassis to take the stresses of the locking, springs, and operating mechanism, and helps protect the hand crafted timber panel design secured within.

Doors and frames can also be factory finished in any Ral colour and even colour matched to the popular Farrow & Ball range. Important Note - While Woodrite use tannin blocking primers across their ranges, for the ultimate colour finish the Thetford Accoya range is highly recommended as it will not suffer potential discolouring from tannin and resins bleeding through. This is reinforced with a with a 10yr guarantee.

The steel box section frame provides a stronger, more secure and lower maintenance option compared to timber frames. The galvanised frames are powder-coated in factory for a consistent finish in a colour to either match or contrast with the door subject to your preference.
If you have a timber garage door it makes sense to have a timber frame to compliment and complete the look. Woodrite offer a number of timber frames to perfectly match the door, both in terms of type of wood and stain finish.
Matching architraves and trims are also available on request.
Windows obviously allow natural light into what is often a dark garage space. But for many people windows are also a distinctive and preferred feature for the more traditional garage door.
Single glazed, widnows are available as either polycarbonate or toughened glass, and you have the choice between clear or opaque finish - with or without lattice designs.
The pivot arms on standard retractable door gear reduce drive through width which is why the 'retractable plus' pivot arm has been designed to maintain clear passage where it matters.
This range is fully compatible for automation so long as the door is correctly specified with the retractable mechanism.
