Monmouth Oak by Woodrite

Little needs to be said about oak, it's strong and beautiful.

However, oak is heavy and has a tendency to move which is why Woodrite have developed a 'panel built' system.  Using solid oak mouldings with oak faced exterior grade ply and built within a steel chassis system, weight is reduced while stability and relaibility is increased.  Unfortunately the Oak range still has limited design options so if you can't find something you like then the Warwick Idigbo range is a highly recommended alternative.

Stain Finishes

Woodrite uses the highly durable water-based Teknos wood finishing system. Boards are individually dip treated prior to construction with further coats applied after to obtain the desired stain colour and ensure complete protection.

Ral to choose

Doors and frames can also be factory finished in any Ral colour and even colour matched to the popular Farrow & Ball range. Important Note - While Woodrite use tannin blocking primers across their ranges, for the ultimate colour finish the Thetford Accoya range is highly recommended as it will not suffer potential discolouring from tannin and resins bleeding through and comes with a 10 guarantee.

Steel Frames

The steel box section frame provides a stronger, more secure and lower maintenance option compared to timber frames. The galvanised frames are powder-coated in factory for a consistent finish in a colour to either match or contrast with the door subject to your preference.

Timber Frames

If you have a timber garage door it makes sense to have a timber frame to compliment and complete the look.  Woodrite offer a number of timber frames to perfectly match the door, both in terms of type of wood and stain finish.

  • Softwood
  • Hardwood
  • Cedar (clad)
  • Idigbo
  • Accoya
  • Oak

Matching architraves and trims are also available on request.

Glazing

Windows obviously allow natural light into what is often a dark garage space. But for many people windows are also a distinctive and preferred feature for the more traditional garage door.

Single glazed, widnows are available as either polycarbonate or toughened glass, and you have the choice between clear or opaque finish - with or without lattice designs.

Cranked arm upgrade

The pivot arms on standard retractable door gear reduce drive through width which is why the 'retractable plus' pivot arm has been designed to maintain clear passage where it matters.

Remote Automation

This range is fully compatible for automation so long as the door is correctly specified with the retractable mechanism.

Find further details about the motors and access control options of under 'Remote Operators'.

4-point locking upgrade

Improve security by upgrading from the standard 2-point to the 4-point locking.

We also recommend the lock cylinder upgrade below.

Weather Stop door threshold

This threshold is ideal for closing up the small gap underneath the garage door, prevents water, leaves, dust and debris from getting under the garae door. Made from aluminium it can withstand heavy traffic.
